Chaplain Libby Watrous
Kennewick General Hospital
Libby was raised
in Tennessee, and has been a local resident of the Tri-Cities since 1973.
She has played the piano since age 3 and has numerous degrees in music
education. She worked with children ages birth through five years of
age with disabilities until she began a long career of teaching piano, music
appreciation and ear training at Columbia Basin College.
In 1996, Libby received a harp from her husband, which
she says has changed their lives. She studied privately in Portland and
Coeur D’Alene.
In 2004, she studied harp therapy outside Philadelphia, interned at a Robert
Wood Johnson hospital in Trenton, and returned home to volunteer as a
harpist throughout the Tri-Cities, but most importantly in The Chaplaincy's
Hospice House.
More recently, she says she is enormously grateful to be a participant in
the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training provided by The Chaplaincy,
and is delighted
to be the new Chaplain at Kennewick General Hospital.
Office Number at Kennewick General
Hospital: (509) 586-5760.
