Chaplain Wes McIntyre
Director of
Spiritual Formation
Rev. Wes McIntyre is a
Methodist minister with over 30 years of experience in parish
ministry, hospital chaplaincy, and clinical supervision. He
is the supervisor of The Chaplaincy's
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
program and The Chaplaincy's
Director of a certified Spiritual Director and leader of
individual Spiritual
Companioning.
Wes came to The
Chaplaincy in 1993 and initially served as the primary chaplain at Kennewick
General Hospital. At present, he is a regular part of the Chaplain
on-call rotation, visits the clinical placements on a regular basis,
consults with staff chaplains regarding their work, leads scheduled case
review as part of the weekly staff meetings.
Since 1994, Reverend Wes McIntyre
has been a CPE supervisor. Prior to that, he was involved in
supervision and supervisory training for five years. He completed his
residency year of CPE at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, Washington
in 1989. His first unit of CPE was completed at Eastern State Hospital
in Lexington, Kentucky in 1980. Wes graduated from Asbury Theological
Seminary that same year. He is ordained with the Free Methodist Church
of North America and has over seven years experience as a parish pastor
in the Northwest.
From 2001-2003 Wes was
involved in an in-depth, two year training program leading to a certificate
in Spiritual Direction. Wes is a member of Spiritual Directors
International. He is also trained in the Enneagram, a tool for self
understanding and spiritual growth.
